Board Election Results

On September 13, the Salem Little League Board of Directors met at the Annual Meeting of the membership. Part of the meeting was to elect the board for the 2024 Little League season, which begins on October 1. We would like to recognize three outgoing board members for their outstanding service - Alyssa Ruggieri, Craig Stoler and Nathan Clement. Thanks to all three of you for the generous contributions you've made. As sad as we are to see some folks step away, we're equally excited to bring on new members. Here are the full results from the election:

Vice President of Baseball: Jason Glick
Vice President of Softball: Mark Lee
Treasurer: Brendan Wakeham
Clerk: Dennis Alves
Player Agent: Edward Colbert
Safety Officer: Anna Gagnon
Equipment Manager: Paul Campagna
Director of Community Relations: KC Bloom
Director of Softball: Jessica Hall
Director of Major Baseball: Rob Thayer
Director of Minor Baseball: OPEN
Director of Farm Baseball: Mark Corriveau

If you are interested in the open position of Director of Minor Baseball, please email [email protected]. And there are a couple other ways you can get involved if you're interested...

1. Apply to be a Special Assistant to the Board. The President is allowed to nominate up to three Special Assistants to the board every year. These positions are perfect for those who have some specific skills to offer, but may not have the time to take on a full director role.
2. Be a Volunteer Member of Salem Little League. Volunteer Members are individuals who have submitted a background check, been nominated by the President and voted on by the board. Managers and coaches are already Volunteer Members...but anyone interested in voting on league matters and being part of our organization can apply.

Want to check it out? Our next meeting is Wednesday, October 11 at 6:30 at the Columbus Society Lounge on Commercial Street. Any adult who is the parent or legal guardian of a registered player is welcome to attend. Please, leave the kids at home. Need any further info?
