The objective of Salem Little League is to allow the children of Salem, MA a safe place to play baseball or softball without regard to race, gender, or ability to pay participation fees. Our goal is to have the players learn sportsmanship, respect for authority and develop friendships that last a lifetime.
T-Mobile is stepping up for the 4th year in a row to help families who qualify for financial assistance. Dick's Sporting Goods also has a program.
Note- T-Mobile has closed their program for 2023, after disbursing their allotment to families in need. Look below for information on the Dick's program.

Program Overview
The T-Mobile Little League Call Up Grant is back to help cover registration fees for Little League families in need and applications are now open for the 2023 season! We recognize that many families are facing personal and financial challenges, which has made it difficult for their children to make their way on to a Little League field. Little League and T-Mobile share the belief that every child should have the chance to experience Little League, regardless of their situation.
HOW IT WORKS
Financially challenged families in communities across the country with proof the child is currently receiving Medicaid benefits, SNAP or WIC may be able to receive a T-Mobile Little League Call Up Grant, so long as funding is available. Please note, documents will need to include the child's name and eligibility/issued dates (within the last 12 months or have a future expiration date) verifying their low-income status in order to complete the application. Physical cards for Medicaid, SNAP or WIC that do not provide current dates and the child's name will not be accepted.
The program offers a simple-to-use online application to get and keep children on the field. Prior to applying, families should identify their local league by visiting PlayLittleLeague.org, then reach out to their league for more information about registration dates and fees.
A family will be notified if they are approved. Payment will be provided directly to the family in need (to maintain confidentiality) via electronic debit card with restrictions for use only for registration fees.
As of 1/27/23, all funds available for the T-Mobile Little League® Call Up Grant for the 2023 program have been distributed.

The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation is proud to announce a $5,000,000 Sports Matter grant to Every Kid Sports, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, to provide income restricted families financial assistance to cover player registration fees and help ensure every kid in the community has a chance to play next season.
As a valued partner of DICK’S Sporting Goods and the DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation, we would like to share this opportunity with our athletes.
Registration is open now and is first come first serve.
