Cancellation of Games Information

Home Page

Will be updated on the home page (Mon-Fri) as soon as it's known to us.

We wait to hear from the city as to the condition of the fields. They normally get off of work around 4:00pm. Before this time, it is determined by everyone as to whether the games could be played. Obviously, if it is raining lightly or doesn't start to rain until after 4pm, there is no way of knowing if the field will still be playable when the players start to arrive at the field around 5:00pm. We are not weathermen and we will not cancel a game because of what the weather is like at 4:00pm or what it might be like later that night.

If there is nothing on this site by 4:00pm, the decision on whether the game will be played will be done at the field. It is technically the umpire's decision but if both managers agree that the field is unplayable before the umpire arrives then they can cancel the game and send everyone home.

Games on the weekend will be cancelled by the league's director. Managers should contact their director or go to the field itself on the weekend to see if the field will be playable. The manager should call the director and opposing manager to verify that the field is unplayable before calling the players to cancel.
